Job Description

Our client in the Hamilton area is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead payroll, financial reporting, and full-cycle accounting operations. This role is well suited for a detail-oriented professional who can balance day-to-day execution with providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle payroll processing, including remittances, benefits, and compliance with Canadian legislation
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow)
  • Deliver variance analysis and financial reporting to support business planning and performance tracking
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing functions
