Position Overview: The Predictable Parallel Computing (PPC) group at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC‑CNS) seeks an AI‑driven compiler engineer to develop intelligent optimization techniques for heterogeneous systems, including CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, and emerging accelerators.

Key Duties:

  • Design and develop AI‑assisted compilation and optimization workflows for heterogeneous systems.
  • Research and implement machine learning techniques for automatic code optimization, autotuning, and performance prediction.
  • Develop optimization strategies on the LLVM infrastructure.
  • Analyze application performance, energy efficiency, and resource utilization across different hardware platforms.
  • Contribute to research projects, technical reports, and scientific publications.
