Apprentice Teaching Assistant

Malet Lambert School is looking for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people to join our large team of dedicated Teaching Assistants.

Teaching Assistants at Malet Lambert School play a vital role in supporting teaching, learning as well as the care and wellbeing of young people within our school. In addition to classroom support, there will also be opportunities to engage with our wider emotional wellbeing and pastoral support provision for pupils.

You will work under the instruction and guidance of teaching and senior staff whilst training towards completion of the Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard. The role will mainly involve working within the classroom alongside teachers to support access to learning for SEND pupils and those with other barriers to learning, providing both general and targeted assistance in the management of pupils and the classroom environment.
