About This Role

Our backend team owns the APIs, queues, and data pipelines that underpin TekValley's platform. You will design and ship reliable PHP/Laravel services, collaborate with frontend engineers on API contracts, and help the team maintain high availability across production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build RESTful and GraphQL APIs in PHP/Laravel
  • Write database migrations and optimise MySQL query performance
  • Implement background job queues (Laravel Horizon / Redis)
  • Build and maintain third-party API integrations (Meta, Google, HubSpot)
  • Write thorough unit and integration tests
  • Participate in architecture reviews and on-call rotations
  • Document services and maintain internal runbooks
