Job Description
An established SEMH school in Little Clacton is looking to appoint a Teacher of BTEC Work Skills to support students in developing key employability and life skills. The successful candidate will deliver practical lessons that prepare students for employment, further education and independent living.
Responsibilities
- Deliver practical lessons that prepare students for employment, further education and independent living.
- Teach key employability skills including communication, teamwork, problem solving and time management.
- Support students with coursework, portfolio evidence and assessment requirements.
- Build students' confidence, resilience and workplace awareness.
Qualifications
- Qualified teacher or experienced vocational instructor.
- Experience teaching BTEC or employability‑based qualifications (desirable).
- Experience working with SEMH or SEND learners is advantageous.
