Building Science Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a forensic expert in Calgary to solve complex building and structural failure investigations. This technical role requires a thorough understanding of building science engineering and its application in failure investigations.

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage building science and structural failure investigations and determine root cause of the failure and damage to buildings, foundations, structures, and building envelope systems.
• Attend client meetings and on‑site inspections, perform surveys and condition assessments and gather evidence. Review technical documentation including drawings, standards, codes, regulations, material specifications, maintenance records, modifications records, etc. Perform Provincial Codes and Standards compliance analysis and reviews. Determine circumstances surrounding the incident by capturing data, photographs, videos, and interviewing parties associated with the incident. ...
