Become a Buyer at Aecon in Bowmanville, ON, contributing to the Darlington New Nuclear Project. This key role focuses on sourcing and negotiating for critical nuclear project requirements.
Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you will oversee the procurement of equipment and services crucial for the completion of nuclear facilities. Your responsibilities include negotiating vendor contracts, reviewing purchase requisitions, and implementing procurement strategies that drive efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate procurement contracts for nuclear components
• Prepare RFQs/RFPs based on internal criteria
• Assist in procurement planning for specific projects
• Keep procurement schedules updated and accurate
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance policies
Requirements:
• 5+ years in procurement within the nuclear sector
• Completed college program in Materials Management preferred
• Familiar with nuclear codes and standards
