Job Description

The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining relationships with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective coverage of assigned loads. The role focuses on selling freight at competitive rates while meeting margin targets and ensuring operational compliance and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, negotiate, and secure carriers to cover minimum 10 loads daily, making sure we have a positive margin of at least 22% on each load.
  • Being accountable for your loads. You booked it, it’s your load.
  • Create and maintain relationships with carriers and drivers.
  • Negotiate competitive rates aligned with company margin objectives.
  • Proactively contact carriers.
  • Verify carrier credentials and compliance (MC, insurance, authority, W9, etc.).
  • Confirm driver availability, equipment type, and pickup/delivery details.
