Cook Operator


  1. Patrol assigned area to inspect equipment for malfunctions and leakage.

  2. Read flow meters, temperatures gauges and pressure gauges and record data.

  3. Report operating conditions of units to Team Leader.

  4. Turn valves and switches as directed to regulate temperature, pressure and flow rate of product and to regulate equipment such as pumps, compressors and blowers.

  5. Draw samples of products (mash, ferm, prop, slurry, hot liquefaction, cold liquefaction) from tanks and analyze in laboratory testing.

  6. Collect CIP sample and analyze. Adjust to meet specifications.

  7. Operates pumps and agitators to mix product or load it into storage tanks.

  8. Lubricate, clean and repair equipment as needed.

  9. Maintain housekeeping in assigned area.

  10. Interact with other personnel to maintain safe, efficient operation of the plant.
