Job Description

  • Planning weekly play-based lessons (songs, sensory play, storytelling, motor skills activities)
  • Supervising children all day (feeding, playtime, naps, hygiene support depending on age group)
  • Observing development and recording progress
  • Doing basic assessments (speech, behaviour, milestones tracking)
  • Keeping classroom safe, clean, and structured
  • Managing behaviour in a calm, child-friendly way
  • Setting up learning areas (creative corners, reading areas, outdoor play)
  • Communicating with parents about progress or concerns
  • Working as part of a team with assistants and other educators

Requirements

  • Matric + BEd or equivalent qualification
  • 0 - 1 years experience
