Duties and responsibilities:

  • Review a variety of university admission personal statements
  • Edit personal statements (1 to 1.5 pages depending on course), using student questionnaires
  • Produce a clear and concise writing style, maintaining continuity of style and tone throughout
  • Regularly liaise with consultant and/or student through multiple rounds of editing
  • Provide advice and guidance on citations, flow, accuracy, formatting and submission requirements
  • Carry out basic research on individual topics and university requirements
  • Display first-rate prioritisation skills and ensure rapid turnaround (usually within 3 working days)
  • Demonstrate tact and diplomacy, and exercise exceptional judgement skills
