Electrical Design Engineer

An established UK engineering manufacturer within the lifting and material handling sector is looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join its technical team.

This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on the design and development of electrical systems and control panels for overhead crane and lifting equipment applications. The position offers involvement across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to commissioning and product improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for overhead cranes and associated lifting equipment
• Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation using CAD software
• Specify electrical components, cabling and wiring systems
• Design and develop control panels and associated control systems
• Create and configure parameter sets for variable frequency drives (VFDs)
