Vertex seeks an Intermediate Environmental Scientist for reclamation-focused projects in Calgary or Sherwood Park, Alberta. This role entails executing and managing a variety of environmental activities in the oil and gas sector.
As a full-time team member, you will leverage 4 to 7 years of environmental experience to oversee reclamation operations, manage earthworks contractors, and conduct detailed site assessments. Your responsibilities will also include developing cost estimates and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, fostering client satisfaction through thorough project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement 70-80% fieldwork on reclamation projects
• Supervise earthworks projects to meet regulatory standards
• Support vegetation management in line with client goals
• Conduct site assessments and mentor junior staff
• Prepare detailed technical reports as needed
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in environmental sciences or related
