Job Description

The primary purpose of the Cook position is to prepare and serve food to residents of the community following corporate standards and guidelines. Theincumbent will ensure compliance with the legislatory requirements for health and safety, specifically pertaining to the discipline/field/area of food safety.

Person who assists in the preparation and cooking of all kinds of foods such as soups, meats, vegetables and desserts. She/he may be assigned to the preparation of light meals.

Person who prepares, seasons, cooks and portions food; ensures the optimum use of food. She/he may be asked to keep the list of food supplies up-to-date.
