Groundskeeper

Florida Institute of Technology is a growing, top-ranked university with over 2,000,000 square feet of facilities to maintain. The position of Groundskeeper is a full-time semi-skilled position under the administrative direction of the Grounds Supervisor and daily supervision of the Grounds Lead. The employee will perform work required for the care, maintenance and development of the lawns, landscape beds, street trees, green-space trees, irrigation system, and general grounds of the university-owned property. This includes picking up trash, debris and emptying out trash containers from assigned areas. The employee will also operate mowers, edgers, trimmers, pruners, blowers, chain saws and other power tools. Employee will occasionally be setting up chairs, tables, tents, stage for special events with potential overtime.
