DEG Engineering Inc in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a High Voltage Electrical Engineer. Focus on designing utility-scale transmission lines and substations while engaging with major Oil and Gas clients.
This role requires expertise in high voltage power systems and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Candidates should possess APEGA registration or be able to obtain it, and have a minimum of 5 years in high voltage engineering. Your work will support complex projects, requiring collaborative efforts with utilities and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design high voltage transmission lines up to 500+ kV
• Conduct stability analysis and load flow studies
• Perform fault studies and harmonic analysis
• Design grounding grids per IEEE 80 standards
• Write technical specifications and energization plans
