Job Description

The IBM Storage Administrator is responsible for managing, monitoring, and supporting IBM enterprise storage environments. The role involves storage provisioning, capacity management, troubleshooting host and hardware issues, and coordinating with vendors to ensure high availability and reliability of storage services.

Key Responsibilities

Storage Provisioning & Management

  • Perform volume and LUN provisioning, resizing, and expansions based on business requirements.
  • Create and manage hosts and host groups, and map LUNs to servers across environments (Windows, Linux, UNIX).
  • Monitor storage pools, volumes, and capacity utilization, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Plan and execute storage pool expansions with minimal impact to production systems.
