Job Description

Position Summary:

As a Junior Estimator, you will support the preparation of cost estimates, proposals, and tender submissions for ship repair, maintenance, and construction projects at Ontario Shipyards. Working under the guidance of senior estimators and collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement, you will assist in compiling data, developing preliminary cost breakdowns, and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant bid submissions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Review project requirements, specifications, and engineering drawings to assist in developing accurate cost estimates.
  • Compile, format, and proofread tender documents, compliance matrices, and executive summaries.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity across all written and technical components of bid submissions.
  • Track submission deadlines, coordinate required input from multiple departments, and ensure on-time delivery of proposals.
