Laboratory Technician

What You'll Do In this position you will perform laboratory tests on construction materials, interpret test data, and prepare reports and/or summaries of test data under the direction of the laboratory manager Specific duties may be, but are not limited to soils laboratory testing such as: Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, swell testing, moisture content testing, visual classifications, unconfined compressive strength testing of soil and rock, and standard and modified proctor testing Concrete laboratory testing may include duties such as stripping and labeling samples, setting samples for curing, monitoring daily temperature logs, and breaking of samples Additional responsibilities include compiling test results, data input, data processing, and other administrative work You will also assist in maintaining a clean and organized lab in compliance with QA/QC initiatives and accreditation requirements, including calibration of laboratory equipment and maintenance of calibration sched...
