Mainframe CICS / COBOL Developer

Our client, a financial firm based in NYC is looking for a COBOL Programmer Analyst to join the team. This role will respond to production support, coding, testing, troubleshooting and requests for assistance with applications. The primary part of this position will be to maintain, enhance, new design of programs and utilities in IBM VSE / ESA, Cobol, VSAM, and CICS environment.



Responsibilities:

• Evaluates user requests, estimate duration of enhancement/new module and compatibility with current system.


• Analyze and develop design specifications to detailed flows for coding.


• Plan, develop, test, and document computer programs, applying programming techniques.
