A 12‑month training program in the Central Plant, Facilities Management Department, focused on operating and maintaining the university’s boiler plant and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Spend approximately 6 months in the steam plant, learning operation, control and maintenance of utilities distribution networks.
• Spend approximately 6 months in building operations, gaining hands‑on experience with HVAC systems across campus buildings.
• Assist senior engineers in monitoring, control and repair of plant and building utilities.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance records and reports.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma (or equivalent) and proven success in all TSSA exams for the Fourth (4th) Class Operating Engineer Certification for Ontario (proof required).
