AIT is a global freight forwarding and logistics company headquartered in Chicago. The Operations Agent Export is responsible for organizing the best means of transporting goods for local and international clients, using all modes including road, air, and sea. In this role, the agent develops relationships with customers, investigates and provides solutions and pricing for international transport, negotiates services and pricing with suppliers, makes bookings, issues transportation documents, maintains full control over shipments in transit, provides proactive customer service, and emphasizes communication. The agent participates in continuous improvement activities and ensures company policies are followed, maintaining a positive work culture.
