Personal Support Worker

About the Client

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Personal Support Worker to provide care for a 96‑year‑old gentleman living independently in his home in Allenford, approximately 20 kilometers west of Owen Sound. He is a social, engaging individual who values his independence and enjoys conversation and companionship. While he remains mentally sharp and makes good decisions, he experiences short‑term memory challenges and tends to repeat himself. His mobility has declined with age—he can stand and walk but finds it increasingly difficult and no longer goes upstairs where the shower is located.

He currently receives support from a companion who handles meal preparation, light housekeeping, and visiting, but he now requires additional assistance with personal care and hygiene that his current helper is not trained to provide.
