Pharmacist

Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a part‑time Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Drake Hall, a women’s closed prison located near Eccleshall in Staffordshire with around 340 female inmates. The role is part of a team of four; there is no on‑site pharmacy, but on‑site parking, a gym, and PPG pathway training are available.

About the Role

Part‑time, working one day a week (ideally 7.5 hours on Wednesdays). The role supports a new Women’s Health hub, implementing Structured Medicine Reviews (SMR) to address problematic polypharmacy, ensure appropriate prescribing, reduce over‑prescribing and initiate deprescribing where appropriate.

Hours & Salary

Hours: 7.5 hours weekly, typically a Wednesday, with the possibility of two half‑days per week if a Wednesday is covered. Salary: Up to £57,955 FTE per annum, depending on experience.
