Planning engineer

Role Overview The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely execution and delivery. This role involves preparing detailed plans, analyzing progress, and providing accurate forecasts to support decision-making for complex engineering projects. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Scheduling Develop and maintain project schedules using planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project). Define work breakdown structures (WBS) and align schedules with project scope and deliverables. Prepare baseline schedules and update progress regularly. Progress Monitoring & Reporting Track project progress against baseline and identify variances. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, including S-curves and earned value analysis.
