The Project Superintendent – Governmental is responsible for the safe, timely, and cost‑effective execution of all contracted construction work in the field for governmental projects based in Montgomery, AL, with required travel. This role oversees the placement and coordination of all project work, ensuring construction is completed in accordance with contract documents, design requirements, safety standards, budget, and schedule commitments. The Superintendent supervises subcontractors, craft labor, and self‑performed work while serving as the primary on‑site interface with owners, client representatives, architects, engineers, and internal project teams.
The Superintendent plans, coordinates, and supervises all on‑site functions including scheduling, engineering activities, material control, and day‑to‑day coordination with on‑site administrative staff such as accounting and purchasing.
