Job Description

A client of ours in the Clacton area are recruiting a Purchasing Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm and paying up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Managing procurement activities through ERP systems (Sage X3), including MRP functions.
  • Issuing RFQs, reviewing supplier quotations, and processing purchase orders.
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records and system data.
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve delivery, pricing, and order issues.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to communicate order status and support operations.

Skills and experience required

  • Previous experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Sage X3 desirable) and Microsoft Office.
