Purchasing Internship

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that we have purchase the right product in the right place at the right time in order to maximize sales and minimize costs
• Develop a strong positive rapport with all our vendors, and become the main contact for company and the vendors
• Negotiate with vendors on purchasing to help increase company long-term profitability. (+/- 5-10% from market spot price based on scenario & volume of quantity)
• Work with Vendors to ensure product availability, quality, delivery scheduling with each project and to solve any pricing or other issues
• Study the full product lines, becoming an expert in product knowledge
• Seek out for new source that will help increase the company’s profitability
• Work with marketing, QS and the project department to keep up to date on the trends and the needs of the project when making buying decisions
