Duties & Responsibilities Refractory Installation & Repair: Install, repair, and maintain refractory linings in furnaces, kilns, boilers, ovens, and other high-temperature equipment. Lay refractory bricks, castable, plastics, and insulation materials according to drawings and specifications. Mix, apply, and cure refractory materials to required standards. Surface Preparation & Demolition: Remove damaged or worn refractory linings safely and efficiently. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, chipping, and breaking out old material to ensure proper adhesion. Inspection & Quality Control: Inspect refractory installations for defects, cracks, or wear. Ensure work meets quality standards, tolerances, and manufacturer specifications.
