Prospero Teaching is recruiting dedicated SEMH Support Workers to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across Primary, Secondary and SEN schools in Dorset.


This is a rewarding role for anyone passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and succeed both emotionally and academically.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small‑group basis

  • Helping students manage emotions, behaviour, anxiety and low confidence

  • Creating a safe, trusting and structured environment

  • Assisting with tailored behaviour and wellbeing plans

  • Working closely with SENCOs, pastoral teams and classroom teachers

  • Encouraging positive routines, resilience and engagement in learning
  • Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience in SEMH, youth work, mental health support or challenging behaviour
