Location: MTL Advanced. Rotherham
Hours: Monday - Thursday Rotating days (6am-4pm and nights 8pm-6am)
Salary: £16.97

About the Role

  • You will operate and maintain semi-automated robotic seam welding cells to produce high-quality metal components.

  • Your primary focus is ensuring precision, efficiency, and equipment uptime.

  • Load and position workpieces into fixtures (crane operation) following standard operating procedures.

  • Execute automated weld cycles and monitor robotic arm movements for errors and faults.

  • Inspect finished welds for penetration, porosity and adherence to current quality standards.

  • Perform basic maintenance, including cleaning nozzles/shrouds and replacing wire spools or contact tips & liners.

  • Troubleshoot minor program deviations or mechanical jams.

  • Safety mindset required strict adherence to PPE and machine guarding.
