Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect (AWS)

About the position:

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect to take ownership of designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms on AWS. You will lead large-scale data projects, drive best practices for architecture, and ensure efficient handling of complex datasets.

What you will do:

• Design and deploy scalable data solutions on AWS, ensuring reliability, performance, and security
• Lead large data migration and optimization initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional teams
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code templates (e.g., Terraform) for automated deployment
• Write and maintain high-quality code in Python and SQL for data workflows and prototypes
• Manage and optimize Iceberg tables and other large-scale datasets
• Implement and monitor ETL pipelines and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions
