The Senior Editor plays a crucial role in HarperCollins' Editorial team, reporting directly to the Editor in Chief. With a focus on both narrative and practical nonfiction, you will identify high-potential projects and acquire titles through agented and unagented submissions. Your expertise in editing will be pivotal in shaping approximately 10-12 titles annually, fostering strong author relationships along the way.
Key Responsibilities:
• Edit manuscripts substantively and line by line
• Acquire nonfiction projects from agents and authors
• Manage multiple book publications simultaneously
• Generate P&Ls and book costings effectively
• Communicate with the Editor in Chief and Publisher
