About The Job Skid Steer Operator JOB TITLE: Skid Steer Operator BUSINESS UNIT: Shafts JOB GRADING: N/A CLOSING DATE: 04 June 2026 Purpose of the Job To safely load and transport ore, material by means of a Skid Steer Loader. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent is essential. Skid Steer Operator Certificate is essential. 1-year underground experience within the mining environment is essential. Competencies Demonstrate understanding of the importance of safe and efficient transport processes in an underground hard rock environment. Demonstrate knowledge of the most common harmful gases and vapors. Demonstrate an understanding of the relevant terminology used in mining-range of underground hard rock. Demonstrate an awareness of customer service. Operate a Skid Steer Loader underground. Duties and Responsibilities Check Mobile Equipment at start of shift and at end of shift for any defects.
