Job Description

Position: Space System Engineer in Airbus Defence & Space, Madrid (Getafe), part of EOS Chief Engineering Department (TSESS).

Key focus: Develop (V)LEO satellite product line with potential for defence and institutional missions (constellations and stand‑alone small satellites). The role leads engineering efforts for satellite development projects, emphasizing industrialization, design‑to‑cost and design‑to‑manufacturing of small‑ and mid‑sized satellites.

Responsibilities

• Act as satellite system engineer, lead design, development and testing of satellite systems, focusing on platform and its building blocks as core elements for a small‑sat product line for Earth Observation.
• Derive satellite system specifications from mission requirements, and develop lower‑level specifications for subsystems and equipment.
