SPMT Technician

The SPMT Technician serves as the technical authority on the maintenance, servicing and fault finding/troubleshooting on SPMT equipment used for transporting heavy and abnormal loads.

Job description

This position is a hands‑on role requiring technical expertise to support the availability and reliability of the SPMT fleet for use on project operations. The role is based at our Studley, head office/base.

Key responsibilities

• Operational expertise
  • Apply a strong understanding of the SPMT operating principles used primarily in the transport of heavy and oversized cargo.
  • Demonstrate thorough technical knowledge of hydraulic pressure systems, electrical/electronic and mechanical systems, axle line configurations, load distribution, hydraulic stability circuit, suspension controls and power pack units.
