Job Description
Lead cultural transformation as the Supervisor of Cultural Development in Oshawa. Spearhead initiatives that enrich the community’s Art, Culture, and Heritage landscape.
This temporary full-time position, available for 18 months, involves reporting to the Senior Manager of Special Events and Culture Development. You will supervise a dedicated team, coordinate cultural grants, and enhance local cultural practices. Your leadership will drive various projects contributing to the cultural richness of Oshawa.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor and supervise the Cultural Development team
• Coordinate funding for cultural initiatives
• Champion Council-approved cultural projects
• Manage operational budgets for programming
• Ensure effective communication strategies are developed
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies or related field with six years of experience
• Strong knowledge of cultural development trends
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
