Purpose of the Job: To oversee production at an operational/tactical management level.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Grade 12 (with Mathematics and Physical Science) or NQF 4 equivalent is essential.
  • Blasting Certificate is essential.
  • Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency is essential.
  • Mining Engineering Diploma/Degree is desirable.
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience as Mine Overseer in a Trackless mining environment (preferably Bord and Pillar) is essential.
