Job Summary

The Train Conductor acts as a member of a two- or three‑person crew and performs duties associated with the movement of trains, rail cars, and locomotives in rail yards and on the road. The incumbent coordinates train assembly, performs ground work outside the locomotive cab in the yard or on‑route, and operates track switches, picks up rail cars, and conducts emergency repairs.
