  • They also maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage, and communicate with dispatchers and customers
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a primary requirement.
  • This typically involves passing written and driving tests.
  • Beyond the CDL, a clean driving record, a high school diploma or equivalent, and some employers also require flatbed driving experience or knowledge of cargo securement techniques.
