Job Description
ð§ Key Functions of the Role:
- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality and reliability- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimise cost
- Manage purchase orders from creation through to delivery
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory availability
- Support demand planning to prevent stock shortages or overstocking
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and performance tracking
- Ensure purchased goods meet required quality standards
- Analyse purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
âï¸ Requirements:
- Matric (essential)- Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics or Business Administration (advantageous)
- Previous experience in procurement or buying within a warehouse or supply chain environment
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
