We’re working with a brilliant specialist school in Durham who are looking for a 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to support a pupil who needs calm, consistent and compassionate care throughout the school day. This isn’t about ticking boxes, it’s about being that steady presence who helps a child feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
What your day will look like:
Providing 1:1 support tailored to a pupil’s individual needs
Helping the pupil engage with learning, routines and transitions
Using a calm, trauma-aware approach to build trust and confidence
Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and therapists
