Job Description

Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing food and ingredients to be cooked in kettles of mixed in mixers.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
  • Prepare and maintain efficient setup of the prep room

  • Understand kitchen needs for the day

  • Initiate and ensure all batches are accurate and signed off

  • Weigh prepped ingredients as needed

  • Open boxed ingredients and decant into pans

  • Ensure that equipment is returned to the dish room in an efficient manner

  • Understand and operate stick blenders in a safe manner

  • Inspect equipment after cleaning and before use to ensure that they are clean

  • Adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards including food sanitation (GMP) guidelines
