Job Description
Join OSM Thome as 2nd Officer on an offshore cable-layer operating out of Bergen, Norway. You will be part of a skilled bridge team, supporting safe and efficient cable-laying operations in challenging offshore conditions.
- **Key responsibilities**:
- Stand navigational watch and ensure safe ship handling
- Assist with passage planning, position fixing, and voyage documentation
- Support DP operations and cable-laying activities as required
- Maintain charts, publications, and navigational equipment
- Contribute to daily bridge and deck operations, drills, and safety routines
- Ensure compliance with company, flag state, and international regulations
- **Requirements**:
- Valid STCW II/1 Officer of the Watch (OOW) license or higher
- Experience as 2/O or OOW, preferably on offshore or DP vessels
- DP Basic/Advanced certificate is an advantage
- Valid STCW safety training, medical certificate, and seaman’s book
