3D Designer & Product Designer (Luxury Handbags & Art Installations)

Sonal Ambani, a renowned sculptor, is seeking a highly creative and technically proficient 3D Designer and Product Developer to join her team. This unique role is at the intersection of luxury product design and large-scale sculptural art.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in bringing concepts to life, from developing high-end, bespoke handbag collections to the technical execution and visualisation of large and small-scale art installations. You will play a crucial role in the technical visualisation and physical realisation of the artist's vision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product & Design Development:

• Lead the design and end-to-end product development for bespoke luxury handbags, translating artistic concepts into viable, production-ready designs.
• Create detailed visualisations, mood boards, and presentation layouts for design reviews.

2. Technical Production & Visualisation:

• Develop 3D models and photo-realistic renders of both product collections and art installations.
• Produce precise technical drawings (2D) and specifications necessary for vendor communication and fabrication.
• Execute installation design for both large-scale, complex sculptural works and smaller gallery pieces, focusing on structural integrity and material specification.

3. Project Management & Collaboration:

• Serve as the primary design coordinator, liaising directly with the artist, external vendors, fabricators, and specialised consultants to ensure design fidelity and project timelines are met.
• Manage project timelines and workflow efficiently, demonstrating excellent time management skills.

Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Proficiency (Must-Have Software):

• 3D Modelling & Drafting: AutoCAD, Rhino, and SketchUp.
• Rendering & Visualisation: 3ds Max, Lumion, V-Ray, or similar high-end rendering software.
• Graphic Design & Presentation: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

• Strong Visualisation Skills: Proven ability to create stunning, photo-realistic renders and compelling presentations.
• Creative & Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for aesthetics, luxury quality, and meticulous attention to technical detail.
• Excellent Communicator: Superior verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with technical teams and artists.
• Experience: Prior experience in luxury product design or high-end fabrication is highly desirable.
