Mission


As a 3D Wiring Harness Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of sophisticated 3D wiring harness systems for automotive or industrial applications. This role is ideal for professionals with at least 2 years of experience utilizing 3D CAD tools for harness routing and packaging, and who possess a deep knowledge of automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities


  • Design and develop 3D wiring harness models aligned with packaging needs, electrical specifications, and installation constraints.
  • Create and maintain detailed 3D models and drawings using tools like CATIA V5/V6.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering to ensure design feasibility and integration.
  • Ensure compliance with both company and industry standards (e.g., VDA, ISO).
  • Lead and participate in design reviews, validating designs through simulation, prototyping, or physical fitting processes.
  • Optimize wiring harness layouts for manufacturability, serviceability, and cost efficiency.
  • Document all design changes and support change management processes (ECNs, DFMEAs).
  • Interface with suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues and clarify specifications as required.
  • Comply with internal TSAX information security procedures and adhere strictly to customer confidentiality rules.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in 3D wiring harness design.
  • Proficiency in one or more 3D CAD tools (e.g., CATIA V5 Electrical Harness, Siemens NX Routing).
  • Strong understanding of wire harness components, routing principles, and vehicle packaging.
  • Capability to interpret electrical schematics and integrate them into 3D models.
  • Hands-on experience in 3D routing for wiring harnesses.
  • Experience creating DMU data and PDM (Product-Detail-Mounting Instructions).
  • Serving as the primary 3D development contact for the VW technical department.
  • Experience with data storage in the KVS system and provision of data via Connect.
  • Familiarity with the VW change management process is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in automotive or industrial vehicle development projects is highly preferred.
  • Fluent English proficiency.
