Job Description
Join OSM Thome as 3rd Officer on an LNG tanker trading in Brazil. You will be part of the bridge team, supporting safe navigation, cargo operations and overall vessel safety to the highest industry standards.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Officer and 2nd Officer with navigation and bridge watchkeeping
- Carry out cargo watch and assist in LNG cargo and ballast operations
- Monitor deck equipment, mooring gear and safety equipment
- Maintain charts, publications and navigational equipment as assigned
- Take part in safety drills, ISM/ISPS procedures and emergency response
Support safe berthing, unberthing and pilotage operations
Requirements:
- Valid STCW Officer of the Watch (Deck) CoC appropriate for tanker/LNG vessel
- LNG or tanker experience preferred
- All valid STCW basic and advanced tanker certificates as required
- Good English communication skills
