We are looking for an internationally recognised scientist, who has a doctoral degree in a field relevant to the position (e.g. statistics, stochastics, forest sciences) and who is well equipped to develop the theory and computational methods related to spatial point patterns. Familiarity with remote sensing of forests and Bayesian computational methods will be regarded as merits.

The work includes the development of the theory, estimation methods and inference of ordered spatial point patterns, and applications to forest inventory based on remote sensing.
