Job Summary

As an Academic Mentor, your mission is to drive student success within our Integrated Studies Program (ISP). Unlike residential roles, you will be the primary anchor for students during school hours, ensuring they maximize their time on campus. You will serve as the bridge between academic rigor and personal development, acting as a "go-to" coach to ensure every student navigates the curriculum with confidence and achieves holistic growth.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategic Mentorship: Build meaningful, trust-based relationships with students. You will help day scholars manage their time effectively, set ambitious academic targets, and facilitate enrichment activities that fit within the school day.

Performance Analytics: Closely monitor student progress through the integrated curriculum. If a student's performance or attendance dips, you will collaborate with the ISP faculty to design and implement personalized intervention plans.

Parent-Academic Liaison: Maintain proactive communication with parents of day scholars. You will lead progress reviews and provide actionable insights on how families can support the specific demands of the ISP at home after school hours.

Day-to-Day Coordination: Ensure students are engaged and productive during their time on campus, helping them balance school requirements with their daily commute and home-life schedule.

Data Management: Utilize digital platforms to maintain precise, organized records of academic milestones, attendance, and behavioral trends.

Requirements:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Interpersonal Excellence: Proven ability to connect with teenagers and inspire their trust, alongside the professionalism required to consult with parents and educators.

Communication: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Malayalam is a significant advantage for effective local community engagement in Alappuzha.

Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating computer systems, specifically Microsoft Excel for data tracking and Word for reporting.

Mindset: You are highly organized, patient, and possess a deep-seated passion for seeing students thrive in a competitive academic environment.
