Job Description
Job Purpose:
To lead the business development, sales, and profitability of the Accessories and Merchandise division for EV two-wheelers. The role involves developing product portfolios, dealer engagement, pricing, marketing strategies, and ensuring accessory fitment integration with EV models to enhance customer experience, personalization, and brand identity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Strategy & Sales
- Drive sales and revenue growth for Genuine Accessories and Lifestyle Merchandise across dealer and digital channels.
- Formulate and execute sales plans aligned with EV model launches and after-sales lifecycle.
- Build business forecasts, analyze trends, and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Identify and onboard channel partners and vendors for accessories and merchandise expansion.
2. Product Portfolio Management
A. EV Two-Wheeler Genuine Accessories
- Performance & Utility: Fast chargers, battery lock kits, mobile chargers, footrests, luggage carriers, side stands, center stands.
- Protection & Safety: Frame sliders, crash guards, side shields, seat covers, floor mats, handlebar guards.
- Styling & Comfort: Windscreens, alloy wheel caps, custom grips, backrests, seat cushions, foot pegs.
- Connectivity & Tech: GPS trackers, phone mounts, smart display covers, Bluetooth-enabled accessories.
- Vehicle-Specific Enhancements: Floorboard mats, rear-view mirror sets, number plate frames, EV branding decals.
B. Branded Merchandise
- Riding Gear: Helmets, jackets, gloves, knee guards.
- Lifestyle Apparel: T-shirts, hoodies, caps, raincoats, shoes.
- Collectibles & Utility: Keychains, mugs, bottles, bags, stickers, eco-friendly products, and limited-edition brand merchandise.
3. Dealer Network & Retail Operations
- Design and implement dealer programs for accessory and merchandise upselling.
- Ensure accessory display, inventory, and visual merchandising standards are maintained.
- Conduct regular dealer training for retail staff to enhance cross-selling and customer experience.
- Track fitment ratio per vehicle sold and increase attach rate of accessories.
4. Marketing & Brand Promotion
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns for new launches and limited editions.
- Support digital commerce and OEM website integration for accessory & merchandise sales.
- Plan and execute pop-up stores, test ride events, and EV rallies to promote lifestyle merchandise.
- Develop catalogues, price lists, and promotional creatives for both physical and digital channels.
5. Supply Chain & Operations
- Coordinate with supply chain, vendors, and production to ensure timely product availability.
- Monitor inventory health, reorder levels, and ageing stocks at central and dealer warehouses.
- Work with the procurement team to localize and source sustainable EV accessories where possible.
6. Analysis & Reporting
- Track sales performance region-wise, model-wise, and product-wise.
- Analyze customer feedback and competitor benchmarking to optimize offerings.
- Present monthly business reviews and suggest actions for improving margin and turnover.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of EV technology and ecosystem .
- Knowledge of accessory design, vendor management, and fitment standards .
- Proficiency in SAP B1 / ERP systems, Excel analytics, and MIS reporting .
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and dealer management skills.
- Passion for automotive lifestyle, brand building, and sustainability .
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate in Business / Engineering / Automotive; MBA preferred.
Experience Required:
- 8–10 years of experience in Accessories / Merchandise / Aftermarket Sales within EV, Automotive (2W/4W), or Consumer Lifestyle sector.
- Experience in OEM accessory planning, dealer network handling, and online retail management preferred.
